What we collect
When you sign in, we store the account information we need to identify you, such as your email address, connected login identities, session records, and basic account settings.
When you use wariwari, we store the groups, participants, transactions, payments, currencies, notes, and related activity needed to show the shared ledger to the people you invite.
- Account and authentication data
- Group, participant, transaction, and payment data
- Billing status when you subscribe to a paid plan
- Basic technical logs used for security, debugging, and reliability
How we use it
We use your data to run wariwari: show groups, calculate balances, sync changes across devices, send login and account emails, handle billing, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
We do not sell personal data.
What is shared
Group data can be seen by people who have access to that group link or who are members of the group. Treat share links like invitations: only send them to people who should see the ledger.
We may use service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, error reporting, payments, and customer support. They only get the information they need to provide those services.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account from account settings. When you do, we remove your account access and delete the account records tied directly to it from the live app.
We may still keep some limited records for a period when needed for security, legal, billing, abuse-prevention, or disaster-recovery reasons. For example, billing event logs may remain detached from the deleted account, and encrypted backup copies may remain for up to 30 days before they expire.
Shared group records may remain visible to other group members after one person leaves or deletes their account, because the ledger is part of the group history, not just one account.
